Is Roamo really free?
Yes! Roamo is completely free with no ads, no subscriptions, and no in-app purchases. It will always be free.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. All features work completely offline. The only optional online feature is fetching currency exchange rates, which you can choose to use or not.
Where is my data stored?
All your data is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure SwiftData framework. Nothing is sent to external servers or the cloud.
Do you track my usage or location?
Absolutely not. Roamo has zero tracking, zero analytics, and no data collection of any kind. We have no idea who uses the app or how.
Can I sync my data across devices?
No, by design. Syncing would require sending your data to a server, which goes against our privacy-first philosophy. Your data stays on your device only.
What about my photos in the journal?
Photos you add to journal entries are stored locally on your device and never uploaded anywhere. They're as private as the rest of your Photos library.
Which devices are supported?
Roamo works on all iPhones and iPads running iOS 17.0 or later. The app is universal with optimized layouts for both device types.
How do I backup my data?
Your Roamo data is included in your regular iPhone or iPad backup (iCloud or iTunes/Finder). Just back up your device normally.

Simple version: We don't collect any data. Period.
Roamo does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All data you create (journal entries, checklists, currency rates, etc.) stays on your device.
